These are the questions you should be asking every Garage Floor contractor you talk to

Comparing Estimates and Choosing the Right Epoxy Floor Contractor

We encourage you to compare us with other companies. We compare ourselves to our competition all the time, and we are confident that we offer the best value on garage floor coatings in Dallas-Ft. Worth.

How will you prepare the surface to receive the coating?

Diamond Grinding is the preferred method in residential coatings.

We use a Planetary Diamond Grinder that removes contamination and foreign material while creating the optimal profile for the coating to bond with. We can change the diamond tooling to create the optimal profile, based on the individual concrete and coating type.

We also provide Shot-blasting services for specific applications that require it.

What materials will you be using, and where do they come from?

We purchase the highest-quality epoxy, polyaspartic, polyurea, and urethanes directly from the top manufacturers in the United States. These industrial-grade floor coating products are not available at home improvement or paint stores.

How much material will be used on each coat, and what will the overall thickness of the coating be?

Please visit the Epoxy Floors page to see the specifications for each coating option that we offer. When you receive estimates from other companies, they should provide information on the type of materials they will use, the number of coats, and the amount of material or thickness of each coat.

Some companies include 2 clear coats, you only include one. Why is this?

The more important question is, what will the overall thickness of the clear coat be? When a company offers two clearcoats at no additional charge, it is an indicator that they are using a material that has a high-solvent, low-solids content. In this case, 2-coats are necessary to achieve the necessary Dry Film Thickness. Our products are high-grade enough that you only need one coat to achieve the right thickness.

How long is the warranty and what does it cover?

On most residential garage floor coatings, we offer a Limited Lifetime Warranty that covers defects in material and workmanship, and guarantees it won’t peel!

We CANNOT guarantee a coating against outside forces such as mechanical or chemical damage, increased moisture vapor transmission, fires, or changes in the underlying concrete substrate. You can learn more about the warranty here.
